August

July:

June:

  • Den fjerde nattevakt:Book written by Johan Falkberget. I’ve got mixed feelings about this book. It was good at times, but maybe a little bit boring?
  • Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy - Very funny! Loved every minute of it! Favorite quotes: “I don’t have to read books, I can just glance through my mind for 30 minutes instead” , “The biggest problem with time travel is grammar”
  • NLP- The New Technology Of Achivement - About how you can reprogram your brain to a new behaviour that you want. Very interesting book.
  • 1984 - You need to read this book! It is really good. 1984 exposes the worst crimes imaginable-the destruction of truth, freedom, and individuality.
  • Accelerated learning - This one is about how to learn to learn. Very good and useful!
  • How to talk to anyone - Pretty much rubbish

May:

  • The game - This book is about a bunch of guys who don’t have any clue how they can get a girlfriend. They read books about it and get really really good at talking to girls. I enjoyed reading it but I dont agree with the way they do things. Basically they try to get a girl in bed as fast as possible. In the end the main character figures out that there is more to life than sleeping with different girls. Based on a true story.
  • The Snowball - Biography about Warren Buffet who in 2008 was the richest man in the world. Really interesting reading about his life. A lot of good lessons to learn from the book. Only thing is that it’s too detailed.
  • Angels & Demons - Thriller written by Dan Brown. I enjoyed the book. It keeps you wanting to read more when you should be do something else.
  • The Black Swan - A black swan refers to something that is very unlikely to happen. This book talks about how randomness affects our lives. Good book.

April:

March:

  • 7 Habits of Highly Effective People - Not really impressed by this book. It has a lot of good reviews, but I felt that I had heard it all before. Am I more effective now? Probably not…
  • The Golden Compass - Very nice book. It’s the kind that is hard to put down when you’ve started reading it.  The trilogy has got a lot of criticism because its ultimately about killing God. I read the book purely as fiction, in that view, it is a really good book.
  • Max Manus - Max Manus tells about the underground resistance under second world war in Norway. Really good book, even better than the movie
